OBJECTIVE OF HEAD COACH, MAPLE LEAFS SEVENS TEAM
The assigned person will perform the role of Head Coach of the Maple Leafs Sevens Team. The role will be viewed as being an integral and significant element of the high performance player pathway process.
The Head Coach, Maple Leafs Sevens Team will lead the team in the events outlined below and will be responsible for developing a successful team environment during the selection, preparation and competition stages.
ROLE OF HEAD COACH, MAPLE LEAFS SEVENS TEAM
The Head Coach, Maple Leafs Sevens Team will be responsible for creating a successful team environment, based on elite level coaching skills and processes.
The appointed person will work alongside of the Head Coach, National Senior Men’s Sevens and the Manager, NSM7s Program and will be responsible for on field performances of the Maple Leafs Sevens Team
COMMITMENTS, MAPLE LEAFS SEVENS TEAM
November 5 – 14 – RAN 7s – Trinidad and Tobago
January 7 – 23 – South America Tour (2 stops) – Argentina and Chile
March 3 – 10 – Vancouver 7s – Vancouver
May 20 – June 17 – Langford 7s and BC Summer Series (4 tournaments total on the Sunday of each week in this period) + 3 training sessions a week – Various locations and training at the COE* (TBD)
July 10 – 15 – BC Summer Series/Training camp for Mag 7s – BC/COE
July 16 – 24 – Magnificent 7s – Toronto
August 20 – 28 – Serevitown 7s – Colorado
